In the Winikina school house where I lived during my fieldwork, I enjoyed the privacy of a small room in the left end of the house, which was partitioned off to provide the school teacher a place to stay (she was not there during the time I lived there). The school house even had an out house attached to it, an unheard of Warao amenity. The front dock of the school house was the main entrance to the Warao village known as Yauara Ahoko.
